Shannon Pawley, The Estate & Asset Protection Law Firm Owner, helps readers understand the benefits of two of the most common trusts people create as part of a well-crafted estate plan.

DECATUR, GA, March 25, 2025: Shannon Pawley, Owner of The Estate & Asset Protection Law Firm, has posted a new blog on the law firm’s website entitledIrrevocable vs. Revocable Trusts: What’s the Difference?Ms. Pawley provide clear descriptions of both types of trusts.

Pawley states, “Everyone has heard of trusts, but many people still associate them with the ultra-wealthy.” She adds, “That, however, is not accurate.” As Pawley notes, “Trusts are very often part of a well-crafted estate plan which is something anyone 18 and older with significant assets need for the safety and well-being of their family. Significant assets include a home, a business, automobiles, boats, 401k savings, bank accounts, IRAs, digital assets, and more.”

According to Pawley, “An estate plan is integral when planning for end of life and/or unforeseen events that render one incapable of making important decisions.” She emphasizes, “ Trusts are legal tools which gives individuals, families, and businesses a way to manage and distribute their assets. Two of the most common types of trusts are irrevocable and revocable trusts. While both serve similar purposes, they differ significantly in terms of flexibility, control, and tax implications.”
