Why should I attend a webinar prior to meeting with Shannon?

Shannon Pawley explains: Why should I attend a webinar prior to meeting with Shannon?

Quick Answer

Because you get more out of the meeting when you already have the vocabulary. Our webinars run every Thursday at 1pm, they are free, the topic changes weekly, and there is nothing to commit to. Families who attend one arrive with better questions and spend the time on their own situation rather than on definitions.

What the hour is actually for

You are not expected to arrive as an expert. But there is a real difference between a first conversation that starts with what is a trust, and one that starts with here is my situation, does a trust help me.

The webinar handles the first part so the meeting can be about the second.

What you will learn

The topic rotates, and the full calendar is on our website. Across the series we cover wills and what makes one valid in Georgia, trusts and when they earn their cost, powers of attorney and healthcare directives, probate and how to avoid it, Medicaid and long-term care, veterans benefits, guardianship and conservatorship, and planning after a dementia diagnosis.

If a particular subject is on your mind, look at the calendar and pick that week.

Why free, and what is the catch

There is not one. We run them because families who understand the basics make better decisions, and because most people do not know what they need until somebody explains the landscape.

You can attend without ever speaking to us. Plenty do.

What it is not

It is not a sales presentation with a legal topic attached.

It is not personalized advice, and it cannot be. What applies to you is very fact specific to your assets, your family, and your timing, which is exactly why the individual conversation exists.

It is not a substitute for that conversation. It is preparation for it.

Bring your questions

Ask them. The questions people are embarrassed to ask are almost always the ones several others in the room are also wondering about.

I always tell people I do not expect you to remember everything from a webinar. Just enough to know you need to ask a question.

For out-of-state attendees

We get them, and you are welcome.

I am licensed in Georgia and Michigan, so those are the only two states I can speak to. Even so, get the foundational knowledge, because it means you can sit down with a wealth protection attorney in your own jurisdiction already knowing what to ask.

After the webinar

If something caught your attention, that is the moment for a Strategy Session. Fifteen minutes, no cost, and enough to tell you whether there is something worth doing in your situation.

Your next step

Check the webinar calendar on our website and pick the week that matches your concern. Thursdays at 1pm.

Or if you would rather go straight to your own situation, schedule a complimentary 15-minute Strategy Session at 404-549-5001.
