Our preferred candidate:
Possesses experience drafting trust and estate plans using ElderCounsel’s Elderdocs or WealthCounsel;
Can take broad concepts and create detailed plans from them;
Enjoys solving the puzzles and putting together the pieces associated with estate & tax planning and coming up with solutions that make it all work for clients to provide them a peace of mind;
Is willing to work diligently to see that our clients receive top-notch service and results;
Shows compassion when dealing with clients and has a talent for gaining their confidence and respect;
Is comfortable meeting with people and discussing sensitive topics around family dynamics, disability, and death;
Possesses the capacity to handle cases and clients independently (after a period of orientation and monitored work);

The Basic Qualifications:
Is an active member in good standing with the State Bar of Georgia;
Experience in Estate Planning and/or Business Law;
Strong written and verbal communication skills and is comfortable speaking with all types of people;
Strong computer skills are required including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint;
Ability to work in a positive manner with a variety of personnel in a team environment and one on one;
Superior customer service skills and demonstrated willingness to go above and beyond in delivering exceptional service;
Self-starter with ability to work independently;
Highly organized with a strong sense of urgency to get positive results; and
Internet and technology literate and comfortable learning new systems.
The Job
This associate will be responsible for all aspects of clients’ cases including, but not limited to:
Delegating work to paralegals and legal assistants, directing their workflow and monitoring their work;
Performing legal research on diverse and complex legal issues;
Drafting documents for sophisticated Estate and Business Plans with a business owner perspective when appropriate;
Leading and participating in meetings with clients; and
Presenting at community educational programs.
